UK Offshore Wind Farm Costs Could Be Reduced to £100/MWh by 2020

Significant reductions in the cost of offshore wind energy can be achieved in the UK by the year 2020 if certain basic steps are incorporated, a new report by the Crown Estate mentions. The study has demonstrated ways by which offshore wind could reach a Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) of £100/MWh by 2020, in order to maximise the size of the industry.
